Timothy's Bio
Tim Brashaw BW pic.png

When Timothy (Tim) Brashaw first heard this quote by Richard Cushing, it greatly impacted him, as this fits perfectly within our industry, where planning ahead is a necessity.

Tim was born and raised in Holland, Pennsylvania and moved to Arizona in 1995 to attend Arizona State University. After college Tim worked in various fields from jewelry to insurance, but found his passion in 2006 when he was hired by his father to run and manage the administration for the family business, the Guaranteed Travel Assurance Plan.

During this time, the company witnessed its largest growth, which allowed Tim to gain a vast knowledge of the travel protection industry and ultimately led to Tim purchasing the company in 2014.

In 2012, Tim met Andrew Pavela, who was marketing the travel plan and developing his own passion for helping families at a difficult and vulnerable time within the Pre-need Funeral Funding industry.

In 2017, Andrew began to see an opportunity to take the travel plan outside of the funeral industry and expand into new vertical markets by launching OBOL Service. It was at this time that Tim was brought in to help manage the administration for OBOL.

Growing up outside of Philadelphia and raised by parents who were both from the Midwest, gave Tim a combination of faith, family, values, and loyalty to those around him and his community.

From September of 2016 through May of 2017, Tim had the opportunity to participate in the Scottsdale Leadership core program. This program works within the community to educate and give back in many ways, including, Fresh Start Woman’s Foundation and The New Foundation and Operation Fix It. These organizations provide amazing services within the Scottsdale community, and the greater Phoenix metro area. Tim also makes it a point to make annual monetary donations to the Society of St. Vincent De Paul and to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Pediatric Cancer Walk.

In his spare time, Tim enjoys visiting with family and friends, playing golf and escaping the Arizona heat in the beauty of San Diego
